The man sounds like he's smoked one too many Marlboros and drank too much but his voice is sound of someone who's had it rough in life and his raspy, gravelly voice brings these incredible songs to life.
I'd like to say that there are standouts on this album, but the honest truth is that this album overall is a standout. I can't find any faults with it or filler songs whatsoever.
We've already had artists like Sturgill Simpson and Brandy Clark gain the recognition that they truly deserve. Ryan Bingham deserves that very same recognition because this album is phenomenal. 5 stars out of 5. If I could give it more I would, because its that special.
