I’ve yet to find a place where I can download it online yet (it’s not on iTunes), so I haven’t been able to give it multiple listens in order to give the song a full review.
There’s a familiar-ness to the song. Garth hasn’t changed. And true to his word, the song doesn’t give in to any of the bro-country trends.
It will be interesting to see how the song performs. It will be interesting to hear the other songs on his album once it is released.
UPDATE 12:00 PM
I've had a chance to hear the song a couple more times on my local radio station. I'm beginning to see even more similarities to "We Shall Be Free" (moreso than my earlier mention of "The Change"). I'm growing more and more impressed with the song each time I hear it.
I will be seeing Garth live at the end of next week (traveling to Chicago for one of the concerts). I'll look forward to hearing this song live. Hopefully, he may share some other new songs as well.
